Understanding Naturopathic Medicine and Physicians is a website designed to be a resource for educating oneself and gaining understanding of what naturopathic medicine (naturopathy) is and how to identify a licensed naturopathic physician (naturopath) in the USA and its territories.
Not understanding how to identify a naturopathic physician (naturopath) is an issue of public safety, which is why regulation of naturopathic medicine (naturopathy) in all USA states and territories is critical.
Notes About the Grammar of This Website
Gender-neutral language (also known as gender-inclusive language) is used throughout this website. Since the English language does not have a definitive gender neutral (third gender) pronoun, even though Merriam-Webster added “thon” to its Unabridged Dictionary in 1934, throughout this website, the pronouns “it” or “one” replace the pronouns “she” and “he”. Regarding placements of quotations (inverted commas) and periods (full stops), British English grammar rules are followed and periods (full stops) are placed either inside or outside of quotations (inverted commas), depending on the context of the quoted words.
